Homeopathy typically doesn't do well in double blind placebo controlled research trials, mostly due to the fact that homeopathy is a very individual form of treatment.
However this trial found that homeopathy was more effective than placebo and also more effect than the drug they were testing it against, Fluoxetine, an anti-depressant.
Homeopathy was shown to be effective in improving menopausal symptoms and in treating depression in peri- and post-menopausal women.
